The challenge

What was the challenge?

An advisory firm serving expatriates depended on referrals and seminar leads. Its site said little beyond "holistic wealth management", licence details were hard to find, and the articles it did have were generic market commentary that attracted readers with no intention of hiring an adviser.

The strategy

What was the strategy?

  1. 01

Target planning questions specific to expatriates in the UAE

  2. 02

Make licences, fees and adviser credentials easy to verify

  3. 03

Route every page through compliance before it is published

The playbook

What exactly was done?

3 moves, each with what was done and why it mattered.

  1. 01Content

Replaced market commentary with planning guides

Published guides on end-of-service savings, retiring from the UAE, moving pensions and school fee planning, each reviewed by the compliance officer.

Why it mattered: People hiring an adviser search for a personal problem. These pages attracted fewer readers than market news, and far more of them got in touch.

  2. 02Trust

    Built verifiable adviser profiles

Added profiles with qualifications, languages and specialisms, and stated the firm's regulator and licence and how it charges.

Why it mattered: Financial content is judged strictly by Google and by readers. Clear credentials and fee disclosure answer the questions a careful client asks first.

  3. 03Conversion

    Qualified enquiries on the form

Added a short form asking about the client's situation and planning horizon, with a clear booking step for a first call.

Why it mattered: Advisers spent less time on unsuitable leads, and sales could report qualified enquiries rather than total form fills.

The principles

What do I stand for?

  • No promised returns

Pages explain decisions and risks. They never forecast performance.

  • Compliance signs off

A financial page goes live only after it has been reviewed.
