The challenge

What was the challenge?

A firm with twelve lawyers across employment, family and commercial disputes ranked for its own name but rarely for the questions clients ask. All practice areas shared thin pages, guides were years out of date, and language such as "the best lawyers in Dubai" sat uneasily with professional conduct rules.

The strategy

What was the strategy?

  1. 01

Give each practice area and court route its own useful page

  2. 02

Have a named partner review every guide and date the review

  3. 03

Remove promotional claims and keep the copy factual

The playbook

What exactly was done?

3 moves, each with what was done and why it mattered.

  1. 01Content

Rewrote practice pages around client questions

Built pages for employment disputes, divorce for expatriates, debt recovery and DIFC litigation, explaining process, timing, documents and which court is involved.

Why it mattered: Clients usually search their problem first. Explaining the route helps them decide whether to call, and it gives Google a clear match for each query.

  2. 02Trust

Named the lawyer behind each page

Added lawyer profiles with bar admissions, languages and practice areas, plus a reviewed-by line and date on each guide.

Why it mattered: Legal advice is high-stakes content. Named, qualified reviewers strengthen rankings, and AI assistants can cite the guide with confidence.

  3. 03Compliance

    Took the sales language out

Removed superlatives, results claims and paid-style calls to action, and agreed a tone with the managing partner.

Why it mattered: Professional rules restrict promoting legal services. Factual copy reduced that risk, and enquiries rose because readers trusted it more.

The principles

What do I stand for?

  • Explain, do not advertise

Good information is the most credible way for a law firm to be found.

  • A lawyer reviews everything

Each guide has a named reviewer and a date.
