The challenge

What was the challenge?

A company with 18 technicians covered most of the city but ranked only in the district where its office sits. One services page tried to cover plumbing, electrical, painting and handyman work. Leads came from a marketplace that charged per lead and sent the same customer to several competitors.

The strategy

What was the strategy?

  1. 01

Build pages for jobs customers actually search

  2. 02

Create area pages for places the technicians really serve

  3. 03

Measure booked jobs rather than form fills

The playbook

What exactly was done?

3 moves, each with what was done and why it mattered.

  1. 01Content

Wrote a page for each job

Published pages for leak repair, drain unblocking, water heater replacement, socket repair and more, with call-out fees, response times and what happens on the visit.

Why it mattered: People search the problem. Clear prices and a realistic arrival time answer what they want to know before calling.

  2. 02Local SEO

    Added useful area pages

Created pages for its main service areas, naming building types, common jobs and real response times from dispatch data.

Why it mattered: Service-area businesses rank by relevance and proximity. Real local detail avoided the thin doorway pages Google filters out.

  3. 03Reputation

Asked for reviews when the job ended

Technicians sent a WhatsApp link right after finishing, and the owner replied to reviews every week.

Why it mattered: Reviews naming the job and area help map rankings and reassure the next customer. They also cut reliance on paid marketplaces.

The principles

What do I stand for?

  • Count booked jobs

Calls and chats only count once they become jobs in the dispatch system.

  • Serve it or skip it

No page for an area your technicians cannot actually reach in good time.
