What was the challenge?
A UAE retail bank's credit card and personal loan pages ranked below comparison sites for its own products. Pages were short, written as brochures, and did not answer eligibility, minimum salary or fees. Arabic pages were partial translations, and every change went through a long legal review.
What was the strategy?
- 01
Rewrite product pages to answer eligibility, fees and documents clearly
- 02
Bring Arabic pages to full parity with English
- 03
Agree a review process that legal and compliance could approve quickly
What exactly was done?
4 moves, each with what was done and why it mattered.
- 01Content
Product pages that answer real questions
Rewrote 28 card and loan pages with minimum salary, eligibility, fees, documents needed and representative examples, following CBUAE disclosure rules.
Why it mattered: Customers compare products by eligibility and cost. Pages that answer those questions beat comparison sites for the bank's own product names.
- 02Arabic SEO
Full Arabic parity
Rewrote Arabic pages natively (not translated), based on Arabic keyword research, with correct hreflang.
Why it mattered: Arabic searches for banking products had less competition and higher conversion. Native pages captured them.
- 03Technical SEO
Schema and calculators
Added FinancialProduct schema and made the loan calculator crawlable and fast.
Why it mattered: Calculators are some of the most searched banking tools. A fast, indexable calculator ranked and fed applications.
- 04Compliance
A review process legal trusted
Built approved phrase libraries and a single review checklist, so changes went through one combined legal and compliance review.
Why it mattered: The time to update a page dropped from six weeks to ten days, which made SEO possible at all.
What do I stand for?
Answer before you sell
Banking customers want to know if they qualify. Pages that answer that win the click and the application.
Arabic is a market, not a translation
Native Arabic pages perform better than translated ones, every time.
