The challenge

What was the challenge?

An online modest fashion brand selling abayas, kaftans and occasion wear competed with Namshi, Ounass and Instagram sellers. Arabic searches were the brand's biggest opportunity, but its Arabic site was a machine translation. Seasonal peaks like Ramadan and Eid came and went with no pages ready.

The strategy

What was the strategy?

  1. 01

Build native Arabic collection pages from Arabic keyword research

  2. 02

Create occasion pages for Ramadan, Eid, weddings and work

  3. 03

Keep seasonal pages live year-round so they rank before each peak

The playbook

What exactly was done?

4 moves, each with what was done and why it mattered.

  1. 01Arabic SEO

    Native Arabic collections

Rewrote Arabic collection and product pages natively, using the terms Gulf shoppers actually search (such as عبايات سوداء and عبايات مطرزة).

Why it mattered: Arabic searches were less competitive and converted better. Native pages more than doubled Arabic traffic.

  2. 02Content

    Occasion pages

Created pages for Ramadan, Eid, weddings and office wear, each curating products and styling advice.

Why it mattered: Shoppers search by occasion. Occasion pages caught that demand and grouped products the way people buy.

  3. 03Seasonal

    Evergreen sale pages

Kept White Friday, DSF and Eid sale URLs live all year and refreshed them before each event.

Why it mattered: Pages that keep their history rank faster each season than new pages created a week before.

  4. 04Technical SEO

Size and colour variants handled cleanly

Consolidated size and colour variants under one product URL with variant schema.

Why it mattered: Fewer duplicate pages meant stronger product pages and cleaner indexing.

The principles

What do I stand for?

  • Arabic first where the buyers are

In the GCC, Arabic search is often the bigger market. It deserves native content.

  • Seasons repeat

Plan seasonal pages to be ranking before demand arrives.
